Can we charge the seller on it?

We bought our home last month in Denver. It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The materials were good until we found out that there is a leak in the attic. Yesterday, it rained and my son’s room is in the attic and after the rain stopped he noticed a leak on the ceiling. We want it to fix immediately. Can we charge the seller on it?
