Which one is the best choice for buying a house?

I decided to live my own life since I am now 25 years old. I am moving out to my parent’s house. My parents were granted a house loan for students. They give me $180,000 cash for a property particularly a house. I am thinking which the better place to live in is. Las Vegas:with its dusy and dry climate? Alternatively, San Diego area? Which one is the best choice for buying a house?
