Default Am I still obligated

I am living in an apartment here in Manhattan for four years now. I pay my rent on time. I can't remember any instance where I have not paid my bills on time. My landlord likes me because I always pay on time. I choose to live on this place for four years because it's near at my office. Recently, my landlord is having problems with his property. Am I still obligated to pay rent to my landlord even if I’ve been notified that the foreclosure process has already began on the rental property I am occupying?
