What will I do?
I own rental apartments in Chicago Heights. I have 5 rental apartments. The apartments are all occupied but I am having problems with one tenant who has not paid rent for couple of months. From what I heard he has been arrested in a drug investigation. His contract with me will end on Dec.31 and I do not plan to renew it. I would like to enter the premises to check the property but the lease states I must give the tenant 24-hour notice. I am trying to contact him. But his is in jail already and I don’t know when he will get out. His rent is paid up for the next couple of months. What will I do? Can I enter his premises without his permission?
