I need a good advice.

I need a good advice in choosing between an updated home in an older neighborhood in Cleveland, Tennessee or a newer home in a more modern neighborhood in the Rolling Hills area. The home in Cleveland, Tennessee has almost everything I want and is much larger, but which makes the most sense as an investment?
