Default insurance claims...

I own a convenience store in Charles City, Iowa. It is a 24 hours convenience store near the highway. Accidentally it caught on fire and burned last week. I think it is because of the electrical wiring in my office. Thank God my two employees were okay. I am thinking of claiming this on my insurance. Can I do that? What are the requirements of claiming on a insurance policy? What are the processes? Does it take long to get my benefits? I need the money to start my new business. Thank you.
