Default Can we force the renter to pay the maintenance directly to the condo association?

As an owner of my condominium I am just doing my job for the board. I own a condominium in Charlotte,NC. A unit owner owes $50,000 in maintenance. He has been in foreclosure and the condominium association has a lien on his unit. We are hopeful that we will get our money back from him. He appears to have a tenant living on his unit. Can we force the renter to pay the maintenance directly to the condo association? Is it legal that way?
