Default Is it legal for me to tape the meetings?

This is a very simple question but still confuses me. I just want a clear answer here. I have been on the board of managers of our condominium in Seattle for seven years. During the past year, I have not seen any records of minutes of the meetings. In the past two months, I have recorded the meeting with the knowledge of everyone present. Is it legal to fail to take minutes of board meetings? Is it legal for me to tape the meetings?
