get back a loan application

I supposed to get a house loan but I was thinking of not pursuing it since I am having problem with my financial situation. Is it possible to get back a loan application charge if I back out of the loan before any more work is done? What I supposed to do on this matter? Can someone solve my problem? Please. Thank you.
